The Ghana Platinum Excellence Awards has officially opened its call for nominations for the inaugural 2026 ceremony. Businesses, industry associations, and individuals are invited to nominate organisations that they believe exemplify endurance, impact, and excellence in Ghana's business ecosystem.
Who Can Be Nominated?
Any private sector organisation operating in Ghana that meets the following baseline criteria is eligible:
- Has been in operation for a minimum of 20 years
- Maintains a physical presence and active operations in Ghana
- Has demonstrated consistent contribution to Ghana's economy, employment, or community development
- Can provide verifiable documentation of its history, governance, and impact
Nominations can be made by the organisation itself, by industry peers, by trade associations, or by the public.
Award Categories
The inaugural awards will honour businesses across 20 categories spanning the breadth of Ghana's private sector, including Manufacturing, Agriculture, Financial Services, Hospitality, Healthcare, Technology, Retail, Education, and Social Enterprise. Four special Outstanding Product Awards will also be presented.
The Selection Process
All nominations will be reviewed by an independent judging panel of business leaders, academics, and industry experts. Assessment criteria include:
- Years of continuous operation and sustainability
- Economic contribution — jobs created, taxes paid, revenue generated
- Community impact and corporate social responsibility
- Corporate governance and ethical business practices
- Innovation and adaptation over the years
Ceremony Date
The inaugural Ghana Platinum Excellence Awards ceremony is scheduled for September 2026, bringing together Ghana's most respected business leaders, government representatives, and media for a landmark celebration of corporate heritage.
